Cloudflare expanded its CASB platform to support Anthropic's Claude Compliance API. The move gives enterprise security and compliance teams a cleaner way to inspect Claude activity and detect policy violations without deploying inline traffic inspection or endpoint agents.
Cloudflare says its CASB product can now connect to Claude through the Compliance API and surface findings in the Cloudflare dashboard. The integration covers projects, project attachments, chat files, and chat messages, which are the exact places sensitive data tends to leak in AI workflows.
AI apps create a new exfiltration surface because users can paste secrets, upload documents, and generate content that may contain regulated data. If those artifacts are not monitored, a single prompt or file share can turn into a lasting compliance incident or a breach that is hard to unwind.
Cold storage is not just for backup media; it is also about keeping the most sensitive records outside the live blast radius of AI and SaaS systems. For teams using AI assistants, offline or tightly controlled archival copies reduce the chance that a prompt-side compromise becomes a permanent data-loss event.
