AWS is framing AI deployment as a security problem as much as an infrastructure one. Its latest security post emphasizes how posture, governance, and observability need to keep up with agentic systems. AWS published a new security blog post on 01 May 2026 focused on improving security posture in the AI era. It references Bedrock, AgentCore, GuardDuty, Inspector, Config, IAM Access Analyzer, KMS, Network Firewall, Secrets Manager, Security Hub, and WAF.
AI systems often pull from secrets, logs, prompts, and connected tools, so a weak posture can expose far more than a single app. When controls drift, the blast radius includes credentials, customer data, and downstream automation.
Cold storage limits the amount of critical material exposed to always-on systems. Keeping backups, keys, and recovery artifacts offline reduces the chance that a live compromise becomes total loss.
